This stay was a very pleasant surprise for us. We didn't know much about Istria as a tourist destination before we went, and therefore didn't know what to expect, but liked it immensely. For a very low price we could fly with Ryan Air from Oslo directly to the airport in Pula. From there it was only a 20 minute drive to the house. The house itself has a fresh and modern feel to it and at the same time it is located in the idyllic Istrian countryside with beautiful nature all around.

That the house is located at such a green and tranquil place was something we appreciated very much and it made us able to really relax. The kitchen perhaps isn't the biggest, but it's still practical and will do very well for holiday cooking. The bathrooms are very fresh and clean. If you are travelling as a couple, as we did, the ground floor suffices to live in, but since there are three rooms upstairs, we would have been able to bring both children and grandchildren if we'd wanted to. Our grandchildren would have loved the pool and the large lawn accompanying the house, and also the horses and sheep in the vicinity. Just half an hour away by car you have the Adriatic coast with crystal clear water and rocky shores, but we appreciated the house's own pool very much the days we wanted to avoid the beach hustle and bustle. The house also has a lovely terrace which was warm and sunny until late afternoon/evening even though we were there in October. However, we like to look around a bit too, and it must be said that there is much worth seeing in the area, most of it reachable in just half an hour by car. Lipica (Lipizzaner horses), Rovinj, Poreč and Limski Kanal are places with beautiful scenery and architecture from roman times and onwards, but there are so many other places too. If you stay a little longer we really recommend a day trip to the National Park Plitvice. All in all we had a wonderful stay and we will definitely go back, preferably together with the rest of the family.
